Technological Education Institute of MESSOLONGHI, GREECE

Having an Erasmus University Charter, we are looking for partners in the framework of the Erasmus/Socrates Programme and we are very interested in Erasmus students mobility (mostly) as well as teaching staff mobility in the fields of Agricultural Technology, Management, Economics and Information Technology. Moreover, we urgently look for Erasmus partners with particular respect to Aquaculture and Fisheries.

More specifically, the Higher Technological Education Institute of Messolonghi (T.E.I. of MESSOLONGHI) constitutes Legal Entity of Public Law, belongs to the Ministry of Educational and Religious Affairs and was founded in 1983. It is about 4 km from the city center in an area called “Zesti”. The TEI is housed in 15 buildings on a self-contained campus, while the whole area owned by the institution comes up to 200 acres (80 ha). Facilities include classrooms, fully equipped laboratories, an auditorium, a large multi-purpose hall with a seating capacity of 800 people, administration offices, student residences, greenhouses, experimental vegetable and flower crops, a gymnasium, open-air basketball, volleyball and tennis courts and a sports field for football and athletics.

More specifically, the T.E.I. of Messolonghi consists of two Faculties and a Branch in Nafpaktos:

The Faculty of Agricultural Technology with the departments of:

    *  Aquaculture and Fisheries

    *  Greenhouse Crops and Floriculture

    *  Agricultural Machinery and Irrigation

The Faculty of Management and Economics with the departments of:

   *  Accounting

   *  Administration of Co-operative Organizations

   *  Applied Informatics in Management and Finance
